The Student Council Division of Sansaiwittayakom School, led 11 student council members for the academic year 2025 to participate in the Workshop on Community-Based Disaster Warning Network Volunteers (Kru Kor): Youth Leaders, held from 18th to 20th July 2025 at Chiang Mai Holiday Garden Hotel, Chiang Mai Province. The event was organized by the Office of Academic Promotion and Support Region 9, under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
The primary objective of the workshop was to raise awareness among youth regarding the issue of climate change — not as a future threat, but a present reality. Students engaged in both theoretical and practical learning sessions, including a field study at the Pa Ton Phueng Community Forest in Chiang Mai. There, they explored carbon credit fund management and participated in tree-planting activities aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the students created innovative awareness media using AI technology to promote sustainable development. All participants were awarded certificates of recognition by Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The student group was supervised throughout the activity by Ms. Suthatip Kultheerachot, the teacher advisor.
