Student Council Leading the Way in Education Development:
Participating in the Chiangmai Youth: Our Shared Future Expo for Future Skills Through Youth Engagement
On August 3rd, 2025, the Student Council of Sansaiwittayakom School took part in the 2025 “Chiangmai Youth: Our Shared Future” Education Development Expo. The event was co-hosted by the Chiang Mai Provincial Youth Council and the Chiang Mai Home for Children and Family to promote and develop essential future skills for children and youth.
This initiative aimed to empower young people by providing opportunities for active participation and showcasing their potential — key elements in modern education and in preparing the younger generation to navigate rapid global changes. Target participants included student council leaders, members of the Chiang Mai Provincial Youth Council, youth networks in Chiang Mai, and professionals working with children and youth.
Highlights of the event included a keynote speech by Mrs. Pethai Mekee, Director of the Chiang Mai Boys’ Home and event chairperson, on the topic “Chiang Mai: A City of Opportunity and a Sustainable Future for Children and Youth.”
There were also impactful Ted Talks, such as:
• A talk by youth council representatives titled “Shaping the Future of Chiang Mai’s Youth”, reflecting the four-year strategic plan (2025–2029) of the Chiang Mai Provincial Youth Council. This plan emphasizes excellence in five areas: reliable governance, curriculum, human resources, organizational capacity, and sustainability.
• Another Ted Talk under the theme “Chiangmai Youth: Our Shared Future”, aimed at preparing Chiang Mai youth alongside their ASEAN peers for a shared and sustainable future.
In addition, the event featured small group workshops with various learning stations designed to enhance skills across multiple domains. A special focus was placed on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education — from classroom instruction to project creation — in order to help students stay current with today’s fast-changing technological landscape.
The Student Council was accompanied by Ms. Suthatip Kulthirachot, the student council advisor, who supervised and supported the students throughout the event held at the Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC), Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province.
